2024 Sony str dh790 best settings

The manual says the receiver works best with 8 ohm speakers. (8 ohm speakers will measure as 6.5-7.5 ohms on a meter anyway) and I have been up to 54-57DB out of 60DB for hours and the receiver stayed room temperature. I wish companies would stop misleading us with one channel driven at 1khz ratings of 1000 watts (pioneer). J

If you're playing TV shows which are in stereo and you want to still use the rest of your speakers, my go to is Pro Logic Movie.The dynamic volume and dynamic EQ sucks. Hi there - I’m buying the ps5 and know HDMI 2.1 ports are recommended for highest performance. I have a Sony multi channel av receiver STR DH790 which I don’t think has HDMI 2.1 ports. I just installed STR-DH790 and want two things: 1. When the receiver powers on I want it to start on SAT/CATV by default, not TV. 2. When the receiver powers on I don't want the Sony "Home Screen" or "Easy Setup" guide to be on the screen. If it matters, my TV is a Samsung UN55KU6920. Thank you.Nov 30, 2020 · I've tested this with about a dozen Atmos movies, varying formats, and sampls from HD Trailers, but nothing kicks out that overhead sound on the 5.1.2 format. edit to add the Auto Calibrate works if I set either 5.1.2 or 7.1 patterns and calibrate, and sound does produce from those top ceiling speakers during that process. We make sure all the eARC settings are on, and we play an audio file in the Dolby Atmos format. If the receiver says 'ATMOS', it means the TV can pass Dolby Atmos signals. A.F.D is the correct sound field for Atmos content. Non Atmos content will be up mixed using Dolby Surround if A.F.D is selected.
